Here is a Pollaxe in a hybrid style of european configuration dating to around the mid 15th to early 16th century.Constructed from a selection of medium and high carbon steels and differentially tempered.The blade is of CS80 and tempered to approx 50Rockwell. the remaining parts are of EN45 and EN42.The Haft is of carefully selected hardwood with a true grain, dyed in a black stain then finished with a wax polish..
